BAC/EE Lightning DH-040, the 40th book in our series, is a 140 page book on the English Electric Lightning. It brings a complete portrait of the last British built supersonic interceptor both in very close detail and in action. Even long after the jet was taken out of service, several restoration projects preserve some of the type in near-perfect condition. This is probably one of the most detailed books in the series so far and nothing is overlooked: fuselage, wings, landing gear, cockpit, vertical and horizontal tails, engines, ... An extensive maintenance chapter is included for modelers wishing to super detail their 1/72, 1/48 or 1/32 scale kits. Throughout the book, many action photos are included, as well as interesting information in the many captions. With this book, we also support the team of the Lightning Preservation Group.
