Recreate classic post-war German express rail travel with this authentic three-car express passenger set for the renowned D 74 Hamburg Altona–Basel SBB service, accurately depicting the Frankfurt–Basel section of the route as it appeared around 1955. Ideal for Era III model railway layouts, this set reflects the prestige and variety of long-distance Deutsche Bundesbahn express trains.
The set comprises three different four-axle coaches: an ABC4üwe skirted passenger car offering 1st, 2nd and 3rd class accommodation, a DSG WR4ü(e) dining car built to the 1928–1930 standard design, and a C4ü third-class seating coach, also to the classic 1928–1930 standard design. Together, these vehicles form a highly realistic express train formation typical of the period.
