OBB Arlberg Express Bmpz/Ap Coach Set (2) IV

The "Arlberg Express" was one of those trains with a sonorous name, the introduction of which goes back to the time of the transcontinental luxury trains. Unlike its siblings, the "Orient and Ostend Express", it traveled through the whole of Austria in a west-east direction.

Over time, the train increasingly transformed into an international train with through coaches. In addition to the Vienna - Paris train line, the train had numerous through coaches, e.g. to the Salzkammergut and from there to Salzburg, where they disembarked again. There were also through coaches from Vienna to Carinthia and East Tyrol, which were transported on from Schwarzach-St. Veit via the Tauern Railway.

Depending on the composition, the sets offered make it possible to recreate the train in the different configurations Vienna – Salzburg – Schwarzach St. Veit – Innsbruck – Buchs.
