To replace the aging M 152.0 series railcars, the Czech State Railways (CD) acquired new RegioShuttle 1 diesel railcars from Stadler. Introduced in 2012, these modern low-floor, air-conditioned railcars set new standards for regional passenger transport in the Czech Republic.
