The DR V 75 series was a series of 20 diesel-electric shunting locomotives from the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR). It was renumbered, in the year 1970, under the 107 series.
The redesign of the V 75 fulfills the wish of many model railroaders for a modern model of the shunting locomotive. At PIKO, the striking role model has become an excellent model that is visually and technically convincing.
The locomotive from the Expert+ series and, thanks to the development of the new PIKO digital coupling, shunting trips with remote-controlled, trouble-free coupling, and uncoupling, of wagons are now possible with the high level of operational safety familiar from PIKO for selected locomotives. The driver's cab lights plus the front and rear lights, which depend on the direction of travel, can also be digitally controlled.
State-of-the-art LED technology serves as the basis for the light changing from red to white. The PluX22 digital interface is state-of-the-art according to NEM 658 standards.
TThe heavy model with a die-cast zinc frame has a five-pole motor for excellent driving characteristics and high tractive forces.
