The Corvette C8.R, unveiled in October 2019, marked a new era as the first mid-engine Corvette built for GT endurance racing. Its debut came at the 2020 Rolex 24 at Daytona, where it impressed by completing more miles than any Corvette before, finishing 4th in class. In 2021, Corvette Racing’s C8.R made history: the No. 3 car of Antonio García, Jordan Taylor and Nicky Catsburg won the GTLM class, while the sister No. 4 car finished second, a dominant 1-2 result. The C8.R established itself as a potent endurance racer and reaffirmed Corvette’s legacy at Daytona.
