Description
NSR F86/89 MP4/2 1986 No.1 AP IL King 21k EVO3
During the 1986 Portuguese Grand Prix, McLaren’s title sponsor Marlboro asked if one of the MP4/2’s could be painted yellow and white to promote their Marlboro Lights cigarettes. The team obliged, painting Keke Rosberg’s car in this striking livery, with teammate Prost retaining the normal red and white. But the colour scheme didn’t show up well on TV, so it was the only time it raced this way. NSR have replicated this livery and are also adding separately the conventional version as driven by Alain Prost to their Historic Line of Limited-Edition models. Both come with fully detailed driver helmets and overalls.
