Mr Hobby Aqueous Hobby Colors are high-quality water-based, non-toxic acrylic paints that are available in a wide range of colours in flat, semi-gloss, gloss & metallic finishes. Being water-based means it is easy to work with. Once dried it does not dissolve, and its colour is excellent.
Thinning Recommendations
Thinned using Mr Hobby Aqeous Color Thinner, Mr Color Levelling Thinner or Mr Color Thinner, with a thinning ratio for airbrushing from 1:1 to 1:1.5 (Paint to Thinner ratio).
Mr Hobby Aqeous Color Thinner is specially formulated for the Aqueous line of paints. It contains alcohol for better adhesion & faster drying.
Mr Color Levelling Thinner has added retarder over the standard Mr Color Thinner, allowing for a smoother, enhanced finish.

Mr Hobby Aqueous Hobby Color paints come in four types of finishes: Flat, Semi-Gloss, Gloss and Metallic.
For gloss-type paints, the gloss level can be adjusted by mixing the Aqueous Hobby Color Flat Base additive (model number H-040). As a general example, mix approximately 5% to 10% of Flat Base to convert to a semi-gloss finish, or 10% to 20% to achieve a matte/flat finish.
