The Trix 11164 Regional Express Digital Starter Set in N gauge is a superb introduction to digital model railways, ideal for enthusiasts and newcomers alike. At its heart is a highly detailed DB AG Class 245 diesel locomotive, complete with a die-cast metal frame, five-pole motor, flywheel, traction tyres and directional LED headlights. Fitted with an mfx/DCC decoder and realistic sound functions, it offers impressive performance straight out of the box. The set also includes two modern double-deck coaches in authentic Regional Express livery, recreating a typical DB train formation from around 2013.

This starter pack comes with everything needed to begin your model railway journey: a Mobile Station digital controller, track connector box, 230V/30VA switched-mode power supply and a compact oval of MiniTrix track with concrete sleepers, measuring approximately 90 x 47 cm. The train itself measures around 452 mm over the buffers, making it ideal for layouts with limited space while still providing plenty of operational interest.

The system is fully expandable with additional MiniTrix track and digital accessories, and is compatible with app-based control for even greater flexibility.
