The DB Class 120 is a landmark electric locomotive that marked a major advance in German railway technology. Introduced in the 1970s and 1980s by Deutsche Bundesbahn, it was designed as a universal locomotive capable of handling both fast passenger and heavy freight services on electrified main lines.
