
Hornby TT:120 BR Class 08 0-6-0 08817 TT3033M
Built at Derby Works, this 350hp shunter entered service in August 1960 as D3985 at Tyseley Depot in Birmingham. It moved to Saltley in late 1967 before going north of the border into Scotland, serving at both Haymarket, Edinburgh and Ferryhill, Aberdeen before receiving its TOPS number 08817 in November 1974. The locomotive transferred to Thornaby in the 1980s wearing BR blue, but was later given a repaint into an eye-catching black livery complete with the depotās white Kingfisher motif. It was withdrawn in May 2004 and cut up by the end of the year.
