Strategic bombers are frequently deployed from the continental United States to overseas locations to demonstrate military presence and enhance interoperability with allied air forces. One of the key forward operating bases is situated on the Pacific island of Guam, where the U.S. Air Force maintains a vital strategic presence. In 2024, four B-1B Lancer bombers from the 37th Bomb Squadron at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota were deployed to Guam. Among them was the aircraft featured in this new 1/200 scale model release. As is customary with bomber crews, this particular B-1B features distinctive nose art—this time depicting a fierce alien character reminiscent of Marvin the Martian from Looney Tunes. The model includes detailed features such as variable-sweep wings and an extended crew access hatch with stairs, offering a highly authentic representation.
