Herpa Wings Boeing 707-320 Pan-Am N717PA Jet Clipper Fleetwing (1:200) HA573696

Boeing 707-320 Pan-Am N717PA Jet Clipper Fleetwing (1:200)

In late 1958, Pan American World Airways took delivery of the advanced Boeing 707-320 “Intercontinental”, a significant upgrade over earlier 707 variants. This aircraft enabled non-stop transatlantic flights from New York to destinations such as Frankfurt and Rome, eliminating the need for intermediate stops and reinforcing Pan Am’s dominance on key international routes. “Jet Clipper Fleetwing” was the fourth of twenty 707-320s in the fleet, powered by Pratt & Whitney JT4 turbojet engines, and entered service in 1959. This 1/200 scale model faithfully replicates the aircraft in its historically significant livery. Shortly before retirement in 1970, N717PA was one of the few original 707-320s to be repainted in Pan Am’s updated branding, introduced alongside the Boeing 747, featuring the simplified “Pan Am” titles on the fuselage.

Features:
  • Highly detailed 1/200 scale model of the Boeing 707-320 “Jet Clipper Fleetwing”
  • Based on Pan Am’s fourth 707-320, registered N717PA
  • Equipped with Pratt & Whitney JT4 turbojet engines
  • Enabled non-stop transatlantic flights from New York to Frankfurt and Rome
  • Represents Pan Am’s pioneering role in long-haul jet travel

  • Perfect for collectors of classic jetliners and civil aviation history
