SBB Beilhack Rotary Snow Blower VI (DCC-Sound)

The retirement of the rotary steam snow blower used on the Gotthard and the need to expand the snow blower fleet and have a reserve led to the purchase of two self-propelled diesel snow blowers from the company Beilhack, Rosenheim (D) in 1980. This design, which has already been delivered to Norway and Austria, has also proven itself on the Gotthard, with the two blowers being or having been stationed in Göschenen and Erstfeld. A special feature of this design is that the entire vehicle bridge can be rotated by 180°, allowing the blower to change its working direction.
