Deutsche Bahn uses the ICE 2 in the form of half-trains, which consist of a power car, six intermediate cars and a control car. If necessary, two half-trains are coupled together to form a full set. If possible, the full sets drive control cars next to control cars in order to be able to reach a speed of 250 km/h at the end of the train with the power cars in front.
