DBAG BR120.1 Electric Locomotive VI (DCC-Sound)

The three-phase electric locomotives of the 120 series initiated a technological revolution in the railway industry, which began in Germany. This made it possible to overcome the existing limits of the conventional construction of electric locomotives. The series locomotives of the 120 series were delivered from 1987 onwards. They differed from the pre-series in a number of changes (e.g. roof cables, sand boxes, buffer beams). The locomotives were equally suitable for pulling fast passenger trains and heavy freight trains.
